PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an increase in transmission loss caused by a cable bending by reducing an optical fiber length difference in the case of the cable bending. SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable 1 has an optical fiber array layer 5 composed of a plurality of optical fibers 3 which are arranged in parallel in a 1st direction, tension bodies 19 arranged on both sides of the optical fiber array layer 5 in the 1st direction along the drawing direction of the optical fibers 3 of the optical fiber array layer 5, and a cable sheath 23 covering the optical fiber array layer 5 and tension bodies 19. Consequently, the fiber optic cable 1 is bend securely in a 2nd direction, orthogonal to the 1st direction, wherein the two tension bodies 19 are connected, so the optical fibers 3 of the optical fiber array layer 5 which are arrayed in the 1st direction neither extend nor contract.
