PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generating device capable of making an a hot and chilled water generator generate chilled water and hot water without a problem even if output of an internal combustion engine is regulated in response to electric power consumption. SOLUTION: This power generating device is provided with a coolant heater 121 heating coolant flowing to an hot and chilled water generator from the internal combustion engine 101 and heater regulation means regulating heating action of the coolant heater 121 in response to output regulation of the internal combustion engine 101. When output of the internal combustion engine 101 is regulated in response to a consumption condition of electric power generated by the power generating device, coolant heating action by the coolant heater 121 is regulated in response to the output regulation. Consequently, since temperature drop of the coolant can be compensated even if output of the internal combustion engine 101 is reduced in response to reduction of electric power consumption, for example, even when electric power consumption in a building drops, air conditioning or hot water supply can be performed without influence thereof.
