PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of an internal combustion engine having a heating resistor type fluid flow metering device capable of effectively removing salt content adhered to a heating resistor. SOLUTION: In this controller of the internal combustion engine having a heating resistor type air flow metering device heating by flowing a heating current through a heating resistor 103 and metering an air amount sucked into the internal combustion engine based on heat radiation to intake air, the heating resistor is formed to be heated a specified time after an instruction for starting rotation is given to the internal combustion engine.
