PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen-packaging apparatus for chicken eggs, in which a screening/collecting means is separated from a packaging means easily, an atmosphere in a storage means is kept in a given condition easily, desired eggs are picked freely from eggs stored in the storage means and are sent to the packaging means, and a separate transfer line for returning an empty temporary container or a transfer pallet to the screening/collecting means is not needed. SOLUTION: The storage means of the screening packaging apparatus is formed as a solid automatic storehouse. According to the automatic storehouse, a pair of racks, on which a number of housing shelves are set vertically and horizontally, are arranged at both sides of a travel route of a stacker crane. One housing shelf on one rack is made to serve as a stocking station, where temporary containers are stocked at the side that is opposite to the side at which the stacker crane takes in and out the temporary containers housing eggs, while another housing shelf is made to serve as a takeout station, where the temporary containers are taken out at the side that is opposite to the side at which the stacker crane takes in and out the temporary containers.
