RETRACTABLE SECURITY BARRICADE

A retractable security barricade (9) including an outer tube (11) and an inner barrier tube (10) which is telescopingly movable within the outer tube and movable into an upper protective position and a lower position. The outer tube is secured to a reinforcing frame (12), both of which are mounted below grade. The inner tube houses therein a self-contained hydraulic drive (50) which through remote actuation causes raising and lowering of the inner tube.
