A lifting device for a back pack chest strap is provided to allow a user to easily and conveniently regulate the height of the backpack, to reduce the manufacturing costs and to improve the productivity by simply configuring the present lifting device, and to allow the fine external appearance of the backpack. The backpack chest strap(14) is configured so that a fitting buckle (15) is coupled with a middle portion of the strap(14) in a fitted manner and that both ends of the strap(14) are connected to a shoulder strap(12) so as to be lifted. The lifting device for the backpack chest strap(14) includes: a guide strip(19), whose one side is confronted with an outer surface of the shoulder strap(12) in an up/down longitudinal direction and whose other side has a rail portion(20) with a circular section and long length; and a lifting buckle(16), whose one side forms a connecting hole(17) so that the latter(17) is coupled respectively with both ends of the shoulder strap(12) and whose other side forms a guide tube(18), into which the rail portion(20) is inserted.
