<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that realizes energy saving and contributes to an enhancement of the health of workers, etc., in an office, by operating an image forming apparatus which has a high rate of utilization in an office and an negative ion producing apparatus in conjunction with each other as one piece of office equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The electrophotographic image forming apparatus 40 transfers a toner image to paper drawn out from a paper feeder 18 and fixes the toner image with a fixing apparatus 16. The image forming apparatus 40 incorporates the negative ion producing apparatus 38.
