PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To survey continuously the embedding position of a cable. SOLUTION: Position information of a measuring reference point is acquired by utilizing RTK-GPS. The azimuth in the moving direction of this continuous cable position survey device 1 is determined by utilizing the position information. An electromagnetic wave from a metal wire is received by two electromagnetic signal receiving parts 3, 4 having different horizontal positions, and the distance from the measuring reference point to the cable in the measuring base line direction B and in the vertical downward direction is determined respectively by utilizing the received electromagnetic signal. The depth of the cable 7 is determined by utilizing the distance in the vertical downward direction. Planar position information of the cable 7 is determined by utilizing the azimuth in the moving direction, the position information of the measuring reference point, and the distance in the measuring base line direction B.
