PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavation apparatus which is as simple as possible and has a cost effectiveness. SOLUTION: The excavation apparatus for inserting an excavation element 50 in the earth has a rotary drive section and a rotary device 30. The rotary drive section is supported on a support and inserts the excavation element 50 rotatably and slidably disposed on the support in the earth. The rotary device 30 has collets 33 and 34 capable of being rotated by at least one operation cylinder 35 or 36.
