PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet material supply device provided with a first loading means and a second loading means, having one sheet supply/separation mechanism common to the loading means, and capable of preventing increase of device size and reducing manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: This sheet material supply device is provided with the first loading means having a first loading part for loading a sheet material, the second loading means provided detachably for the first loading means on an upper side of the first loading part, and a separation and supply means used in common with the first and second loading means and separating and supplying loaded sheet materials. The second loading means includes a base member for providing in the first loading means and a second loading part assembled movably into the base member. The second loading part is constituted so as to advance and retract. The sheet material can be supplied from the first loading part at an evacuation position where the second loading part retracts, and the sheet material can be supplied from the second loading part at a supply possible position where the second loading part advances.
