A laboratory reactor vessel (2) for a chemical or biological reaction has a measuring instrument (1) sensor (3) that detects (5) an electrical signal indicating a predefined condition within the reaction medium (4). The sensor is coupled to a passive transponder (6). A transmitter (7) within the signal detector (5) has a generator coil (7a) that induces a current in the transponder coil (6a). The transponder signal is detected by a receiver (8). The measuring sensor is e.g. a pH electrode, temperature sensor e.g. thermo-element, photometer, piezoelectric pressure sensor, magnetic field sensor, photocell or a flow-speed sensor. The sensor is integrated within a mixer paddle.
