PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING POLARIZING PLATE, POLARIZING PLATE, OPTICAL FILM AND IMAGE DISPLAY

A process for manufacturing a polarizing plate having a transparent protective film provided at least on one side of a polarizer via an adhesive layer. The adhesive layer is formed on a surface of the transparent protective film for forming the adhesive layer or/and a surface of the polarizer for forming the adhesive layer by applying adhesive. When the transparent protective film and the polarizer are pasted continuously via the thus-formed adhesive layer, aqueous liquid is presented on the pasting surface. Consequently, there can be obtained a polarizing plate having uniform polarization characteristics and excellent durability.
