The invention relates to a carrier package and a carrier structure of the carrier package. A cover (3) of the carrier package comprises an inner portion (3a) and an outer portion (3b) and a handle strip (6) between them. A part of the handle strip (6) can be pulled through an opening (14) on the outer portion (3b) to form a loop-like handle (5) outside the cover (3). The ends of the handle strip (6) are fastened at fastening points (7a, 7b) to the cover and at least one free space (8, 8a, 8b) is formed in advance on the portion between the fasten-ing points that allows shifting the fastening points towards one another.
