FUEL TANK SECURITY DEVICE

An obstructive security device (1) for a fuel tank (3) is provided that has obstructive formations (4) for location within a fuel tank filler pipe (2) between an inner and an outer end thereof. The anchor means includes both outer stop means (5, 8, 24, 26) for cooperating with a fuel filler pipe at or towards an outer inlet end thereof to prevent further movement of such stop means into the filler pipe. The anchor means also includes inner stop means (6, 16, 17) for cooperating with an inner end (18) of the fuel tank filler pipe to inhibit movement of the obstructive formations in a direction towards the outer end of the filler pipe. The inner stop means and outer stop means are interconnected by a connecting tie element (7, 15, 22).
