PURPOSE: A nonaqueous electrolyte solution and a lithium secondary battery using the nonaqueous electrolyte solution are provided, to block the overcharge current through the polymerization by degradation due to oxidation, thereby improving safety. CONSTITUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte solution comprises a lithium salt; an electrolyte solution compound; 0.5-5 wt% of a nonconductive polymer monomer; and 0.1-2 wt% of a conductive polymer monomer. Preferably the nonconductive polymer monomer is cyclohexylbenzene, isopropylbenzene or 5-butylbenzene; and the conductive polymer monomer is biphenyl, 1-phenyl-1-cyclohexane or benzofuran. The lithium secondary battery comprises a positive electrode; a negative electrode; a porous separator; and the nonaqueous electrolyte solution. |
