PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide feed for easily and efficiently promoting growth of marine invertebrate animals, especially shellfish such as abalone and improving their productivity.

SOLUTION: The gel-like feed contains salmon growth hormone extracted from the hypophysis of the head disposed of in a salmon processing step and alginic acid and is thrown to young shellfish of shellfish such as abalone.
