<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for dyeing a plastic lens with an invariably stable hue while it is easy to adjust density and also performing comfortable dyeing operation without spoiling operation environment. <P>SOLUTION: The dyeing method for a plastic lens in which the plastic lens with dyeing matter stuck thereto is heated in an oven to complete the dyeing includes a 1st step of obtaining a print base body by coating a base body with dyeing matter in which sublimatable dyeing matter is dissolved or dispersed as particulates according to color data managed by an electronic computer and a 2nd step of vapor-depositing the sublimatable dyeing matter on the plastic lens by setting the surface of the print base body, obtained in the 1st step, coated with the dyeing matter opposite the plastic lens in a vacuum without contact therewith and heating the print base at specified temperature to sublimate the sublimatable dyeing matter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
