<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support for an image recording medium capable of forming a sharp and clear photo-like high quality image having a high regular reflectance on a recording face and brightness and depth perception, as well as capable of enhancing texture resistance to light where the image is not formed. <P>SOLUTION: The support for an image recording medium is constituted by providing a layer containing a pearlescent pigment, a hydrophilic synthetic smectite and a water soluble high polymer compound on a substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
