<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which abandons print data of a printing job when clearance of the printing job is instructed during reception of the print data of the printing job from a host device, and automatically re-starts printing processing of print data of a next printing job upon reception of the same, and to provide a printing control method and a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: When the image forming device receives the print data from the host device, the image forming device carries out accumulation processing of the received data in a receiving buffer of a RAM thereof, and at the same time carries out printing processing of the data by capturing the data from the receiving buffer. When the image forming device receives an instruction of clearance of the printing job during execution of the processing, the image forming device abandons created page data, and captures the data in the receiving buffer. Then if the captured data is a head of a command, the next data (a follow-up to the command) in the receiving buffer is captured, and if the captured data is determined as a head of the printing job from the command, it is determined that the job is switched to the next one. Thus the device re-starts the printing processing from the command onward.
