<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorine-containing resin composition efficiently forming a periodic uneven microstructure having excellent optical characteristics and stain resistance and an optical article suitably used in various optical applications such as an antireflection coating, an antireflection film, an optical waveguide, a relief hologram, a lens, an optical card, an optical disk and a polarizing separation element and to provide an image display device using the optical article. <P>SOLUTION: The fluorine-containing resin composition comprises at least a fluorine-containing compound and is used for forming the uneven microstructure of the optical article. The fluorine-containing compound is preferably a mode which is at least any selected from a fluorine-containing monomer, a fluorine-containing silane coupling agent, a fluorine-containing surfactant and a fluorine-containing polymer. The optical article has the uneven microstructure formed by using the fluorine-containing resin composition and comprises fluorine atoms on the surface.
