<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refining method for a carbon nanotube-containing composition by which a high purity carbon nanotube excellent in heat resistance, mechanical strength and electric conductivity can be obtained and further, a solid catalyst can be recovered and reused, and also to provide a carbon nanotube composition excellent in applicability and workability. <P>SOLUTION: The refining method comprises immersing the carbon nanotube-containing composition in a liquid containing one or more compounds represented by the general formula, ClHmXn (wherein X is a substituent containing either halogen, O, N or S; l is an integer of≥1 acceptable as atomic valence; and m and n are each an integer of 0 or≥1 acceptable as atomic valence except the case that they are concurrently 0), and then enhancing the purity of carbon nanotube by separately recovering a carbon nanotube-rich solution portion and another solution portion containing much components other than carbon nanotube. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
