PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic light emitting device that not only maintains a white balance after long-time drive but also reduces manufacturing time and has high resolution. SOLUTION: The organic light emitting device having a color adjustment layer and including a substrate 100 is provided. A first electrode 550 is positioned on the substrate 100. A second electrode 400 is positioned on the first electrode 550. The first electrode 550 and/or the second electrode 400 are transparent electrodes. An organic functional layer 600 having at least en emission layer is interposed between the first electrode 550 and the second electrode 400. A color adjustment layer formed by a laser thermal transfer method is positioned on a surface that opposes a surface adjacent to the emission layer of the transparent electrode. The color adjustment layers are color filters 710R, 710G, 710B and/or color conversion layers. In this manner, the color adjustment layer is formed by using the laser thermal transfer method by forming the emission layer by a single color over the entire substrate. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
