PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain sufficient recording and reproducing characteristics in a magnetic disk cartridge where a magnetic disk whose central part is stuck on an upper face of a disk-like center core and which has flexibility is freely rotatably stored in a flat housing. SOLUTION: The magnetic disk 5 has a surface recording density of≥158.7 Mbit/cm<SP>2</SP>. The disk wobbling value of the magnetic disk measured at a radial position 5a located 5 mm outward from the outer diameter of the center core 10 of the magnetic disk 5 rotated by means of a drive device via the center core 10 is set to be≤20μm.
