PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement method and a measuring apparatus for easily measuring the curing characteristics of a photocuring liquid, such as the critical exposure amount, from a change in viscosity in a curing reaction, curing depth, and the transmission depth of light with respect to a wide range of photocuring liquids, using a simple configuration and simple adjustment of equipment. SOLUTION: A fan-like oscillating movement is generated in an oscillating flat plate 3, while a photocuring liquid sample S to be measured is pinched in between a transparent still flat plate 1, that is connected to a load sensor 2 and is stationary and the oscillating plane 3 arranged in a wedge shape. Force F that the stationary flat plate 1 receives is detected. Then, a light is irradiated to the photocuring liquid sample through the stationary flat plate 1, from the direction of the stationary flat plate 1. Aging effect, where the stationary flat plate 1 receives by an increase in the viscosity of the liquid sample following the start of a curing reaction, is detected. The amount of critical exposure E<SB>c</SB>, in which the photocuring liquid starts curing reaction, the curing depth (h) of the photocuring liquid, and transmission depthβof light can be calculated, according to integrated quantity of light and detected force.
