PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic adjuster of a bobbin thread residual quantity sensor for a sewing machine having a light emitting diode emitting a detecting light to a bobbin thread wounded around a bobbin shaft and a phototransistor receiving the detecting light partially intercepted and attenuated by the bobbin thread and outputting a bobbin thread signal and oppositely disposed with the both of them outside a rotating hook bobbin case holder supporting the bobbin. SOLUTION: When a sewing machine is set in a bobbin thread residual quantity sensor automatic adjusting mode, a sewing machine motor is started to drive and rotate the rotating hook bobbin case holder, the detecting light is emitted from the LED, values of the bobbin thread signals are measured every time emitting the detecting light to the phototransistor of the bobbin thread sensor, and a loading value is automatically changed in order till the bobbin thread signal becomes a predetermined value. When the loading value becomes the predetermined value, it is stored as an appropriate load, the sewing machine motor is automatically stopped and the LED is turned off. This constitution allows anyone to easily and precisely adjust the bobbin thread residual quantity sensor. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
