<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print job distribution device capable of distributing requested print jobs between a plurality of printers for performing printing with good quality throughout to a final page. <P>SOLUTION: A residual quantity information collection means 22 gathers residual quantity information about a consumable item from each of the printers connected one another via a network, and a print information collection means 23 gathers information concerned with print contents such as an image type (photograph, letter) and print density. A safety factor decision means 24 decides a safety factor matching detection accuracy of the print contents and the residual quantity information, while a safety sheet number finding means 25 finds a safety sheet number allowing an error due to prediction for each of the printers by multiplying a printable sheet number predicted from the residual quantity information by the safety factor.
