<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording device and a method which enable recording appropriately normal information while performing appropriately erasing of information recorded in, for example, an OPC area, an information recording and reproducing device and a method, and a computer program functioning as an information recording device such as a computer. <P>SOLUTION: The information recording device (1) is provided with a recording means (310) recording information in an information recording medium (100) with a laser beam for recording having recording power being adjustable, a calibration means (340) obtaining a calibration value by recording data for calibration for obtaining a calibration value in an area for calibration (103) provided in the information recording medium and obtaining a calibration value of the recording power, and a first erasing means (320) erasing one part out of the data for calibration recorded in the area for calibration. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
