<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium which has high glossiness without gloss irregularity, a high ink absorbing speed capable of being adapted to a high speed printing without absorbing speed irregularity and can apply simultaneous double-layer coating of a high gloss surface layer and a lower layer, and in which a recording medium applied with a simultaneous double-layer coating has a high glossiness and a high ink absorbing speed as well as a big resistance to bending and crack. <P>SOLUTION: The recording medium is manufactured by a method wherein a coating liquid composed of a first coating liquid containing at least inorganic particles and a water-soluble binder and a second coating liquid containing at least colloidal silica, polyvinylalcohol and borax, is coated on a support in at least not less than two layers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
