<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device capable of omitting rivet fastening when a pad cover body is assembled and joined with a case body in a bag case together with an airbag module. <P>SOLUTION: In the airbag device, a bag case comprises a pad cover body, a prismatic case body, and a pair of joining bars to assemble and join the pad cover body with the prismatic case body. The pad cover body 18 has a mounting leg part 42 having a plurality of engagement holes 44. The case body 20 has an engaging convex part 46 having a lock hole 48 in a side wall thereof. A joining bar 22 comprises a fixed seat part 50, and a plurality of lock pieces 52 protruded upwardly from the fixed seat part 50. The fixed seat part 50 of the joining bar 22 is abutted on the case body 20, and tightened and fixed together with an airbag 14. The lock pieces 52 are inserted in the lock holes 48 of the engaging convex part 46, and the mounting leg part 42 of the pad cover body 18 is joined with and fixed to both side walls of the case body 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
