<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle head lamp of projector type to form a light distribution pattern for a low beam, which can form a light distribution pattern bright enough even if a lighting device of side inserting type is used. <P>SOLUTION: A first additional reflector 34 is provided between a light source bulb 22 and shade 32, for reflecting light from a light source 22a towards a forward area in a bulb insertion direction on a reflecting surface 24a of a reflector 24. The forward area in the bulb insertion direction on the reflecting surface 24a of the reflector 24 is formed as a second additional reflector 36 for reflecting the reflected light from the first additional reflector 34 in a forward direction towards an optical axis Ax. Accordingly, direct light from the light source 22a which might have been shielded by the shade 32 is made to enter a projecting lens 28 and utilized as a forward radiating light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
