PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, which can retrieve and investigate medical information of patients in the state of anonymity so that the number of patient candidates, who are to be subjects for clinical trials, is increased and the success rate of subject solicitation is improved. SOLUTION: Medical information of a patient is divided into a first information part, which is included with personal specified information on the patient and specified information on a doctor in charge, and a second information part, which is included with clinical information of the patient, artificial statistical information and information to specify the doctor for the patient, and then independently stored. Each patient is assigned with a unique patient identification code, and the code is inputted into both of the information parts. A third-person retriever investigates the second information stored part to acquire information necessary for a clinical trial plan, and obtains the number of candidates without specifying patients. A doctor for the patients who are candidates has an access right to retrieve the first information part based on patient identification codes.
