PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the efficiency of communication even when the quantity of information to be transmitted/received is increased. SOLUTION: Radio communication apparatuses 11a and 11b perform radio communication by transmitting individual channel information to any of a plurality of radio channels or receiving individual channel information transmitted by each radio channel, and are provided with a CPU 101 which calculates occupancy time when the radio channel is occupied for transmitting the individual channel information. Prior to the transmission of the individual channel information, the calculated occupancy time and the identification information of the radio channel to be used for transmitting the individual channel information are transmitted to a common channel being the radio channel different from the radio channel shown by the identification information, and the occupancy time of the radio channel to which the individual channel information is transmitted and the radio channel are notified to other radio communication apparatuses.
