PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner with which sufficient image density can be assured even with a relatively low coating weight and/or which is excellent in electrostatic charge stability against an environmental fluctuation and resin particles for forming the toner. SOLUTION: The resin particles for the toner into which at least either coloring agent particles or charge control agent particle are incorporated by a mini-emulsion polymerization method are provided. The toner containing the coloring agent particles having an average dispersion grain size of≤200 nm is provided.
