PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical receptacle whose reliability is improved by improving a wiggle characteristic and preventing a sleeve from cracking. SOLUTION: The optical receptacle, constituted by holding the sleeve 4 for pressing and fixing a rear end of a fiber stab 1 having an optical fiber 43 fixed in a through hole of a ferrule 2 in a holder 5 and holding a plug ferrule 10 connected to a front end surface of the fiber stub 1 at a tip part of the fiber stub 1, holding the outer periphery of the sleeve 6 by a sleeve case 6, and holding a rear end side of the outer periphery of the sleeve case 6 by the holder 5, has a clearance A between the rear end side of the outer periphery of the sleeve case 6 and the holder.
