PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic processing apparatus for a silver halide color photographic material in which contamination of unsubmerged conveyance paths such as crossover racks is suppressed even in processing with an automatic developing machine and which does not cause failure such as scratch to a photosensitive material during processing. SOLUTION: The automatic processing apparatus for a silver halide photographic sensitive material has a ventilating mechanism by which the air in the space of a processing solution tank section and/or in the space of a drying section in the apparatus is circulated in the respective spaces and/or exhausted from the apparatus, wherein the ventilating mechanism has a ventilation trunk, the ventilation trunk is loaded with an airflow controlling member consisting of a plurality of channels whose maximum cross-sectional area is≤0.95 cm<SP>2</SP>in its ventilation path, and when the air in the space of the processing solution tank section and/or in the space of the drying section is circulated in the respective spaces and/or exhausted from the apparatus, it is passed through the airflow controlling member.
