PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microchip excellent in analytical sensitivity and analytical accuracy, and capable of reducing a size. SOLUTION: This microchip has a substrate, and a plurality of areas capable of storing a liquid containing at least one out of a sample, a reagent and a solvent on the substrate. In the microchip, a periphery of the each area capable of storing the liquid on a surface of the substrate is covered with a layer comprising a monomolecular film, the monomolecular film has a non-affinity to the liquid compared with the area capable of storing the liquid, and the monomolecular film is immobilized to the substrate by a covalent bond.
