PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder/reproducer capable of mediating reservation status when the recording reservation time overlaps among a plurality of users. SOLUTION: The recorder/reproducer comprises a means 101 for receiving a television broadcast, a means 107 for recording a program, a means 104, 105 for reproducing a program, a means 108, 112 for reserving recording of a program, a user information setting means 113 for generating user management information, a means 108 for detecting overlap of the recording reservation time among a plurality of users, and a communication means 111 for communicating with a portable terminal. When overlap of the recording reservation time among a plurality of users is detected, portable terminal of a low priority user is informed of this effect based on the user management information.
