PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerating cycle capable of eliminating problems of hunting and oil circulation and reducing power consumption. SOLUTION: The refrigerating cycle is structured by combining an expansion valve 4 provided with a minimum flow securing means 7 capable of always controlling flow of refrigerant to be supplied to an evaporator 5 so that refrigerant at an outlet of the evaporator 5 has a predetermined degree of superheat with a variable capacity compressor 1. As the expansion valve 4 usually controls a flow rate to always keep degree of superheat, the refrigerating cycle is always operated with a maximum performance coefficient and thus power consumption of the variable capacity compressor is reduced. In addition, as the expansion valve 4 can continue to flow the refrigerant at a predetermined minimum flow rate even when the flow rate is reduced to the utmost, the hunting problem occurred at the time of low flow rate control and the problem of oil circulation are solved.
