PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive composition which, even when having a high solid content, is excellent in polymerization stability, low-temperature workability, storage stability, etc., by controlling the particle diameter of a resin emulsion by jointly using resin emulsions for seed different in average particle diameter. SOLUTION: A resin emulsion excellent in polymerization stability, low-temperature workability, and storage stability is prepared by a synthetic method wherein the emulsion polymerization of a vinyl acetate monomer is performed by using polyvinyl alcohol as a protective colloid in the presence of resin emulsions for seed different in an average particle diameter. Since a plasticizer suspected to be an endocrine disrupter is not contained, thus prepared resin emulsion can be used securely in various fields. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
