PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative ion-generating composition, and a negative ion-generating sheet and cosmetics using the composition which can provide a negative ion effect that is good for the human body and environment and can be applied to all kinds of products such as health equipment, cosmetics, bedding, furniture, automobile supplies, building materials and pottery, by stably generating a large amount of negative ions for a long period of time while suppressing generation of positive ions which are considered to be hazardous to the human body and environment. SOLUTION: A ceramic powder which generates a large amount of negative ions even in a static state at an ordinary temperature is combined with a charcoal powder which releases far-infrared rays and has positive ion-adsorbing effect. Thereby, positive ions that are released from the ceramic powder together with the negative ions can be adsorbed and removed by the charcoal powder so that only negative ions are released in a large amount and far-infrared effect are obtained at the same time.
