PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bag filter apparatus of which the performance is remarkably improved and the service life is lengthened by preventing reattachment and rescattering of dust, while solving problems of conventional bag filters wherein dust-containing air flow is made to flow down through a filter chamber by making the air flow impinge on baffle plates to lose kinetic energy and impart diffusion effect and by narrowing a lower opening part of the baffle plates, which has limitation in the flow-in direction of the dust-containing air flow, cannot control the flow sufficiently, and cannot bring out the effect of downflow sufficiently. SOLUTION: This apparatus is constituted such that a filtering chamber 2 of filter bags and an introduction chamber 3 for the dust-containing air flow 7 in a bag housing 1 are separated from each other by providing a partition plate 4 between them, to make the air flow 7 flow in from a side part of the filtering chamber 2 of filter bag 6 parallel to the partition plate 4. The air flow 7 flowing into a deep side of the introduction chamber 3 is thus led into the filtering chamber 2 to make nearly downflow on the periphery of the filter bags 6 via multiple flow distributors 8 provided along the partition plate 4.
