PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embroidery sewing machine for facilitating a layout operation on an edit screen when displaying the edit screen after selecting a plurality of patterns on a selection screen. SOLUTION: While all selected patterns are piled up and displayed at the center of the sewing area of the editing screen as an initial position in selecting the plurality of patterns and then switching to the edit screen, by adopting distribution control of automatically and appropriately dispersing and displaying all the selected patterns within the sewing area by a simple operation, in the case of performing a specifying operation for moving the pattern, one specified pattern is easily confirmed and the operation of moving the specified pattern to a desired position for embroidering it by the sewing machine is immediately and accurately performed.
