PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum type washing/drying machine facilitating the put-in/out of a laundry, clearly seeing through when putting in/out it, directly blowing a hot air toward the stored laundry and having a high drying efficiency. SOLUTION: This drum type washing/drying machine is provided with a rotating drum 5 becoming a drum opening part 5c by opening one end part; a water tank 4 retaining the rotating drum 5 in its inside with its rotatable around an approximately horizontal axis and having a first opening part 4a in an end face in the opposite side to the drum opening part 5c; an outer case 1 storing the water tank 4 in its inside, elastically supporting it, and having a second opening part 1a in a side wall in the opposite side to the opening part 4a; a lid body 6; an external door 3; and a heating part 32 as a hot air generating device. The opening part 4a and the opening part 1a are mutually isolated and opposed without any member directing connecting therebetween. An air supply port 4b for supplying the hot air generated by the heating part 32 to the rotating drum 5 is provided in the outer circumferential face of the water tank 4 in a position toward the opening part 4a.
