PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transforming a Rhodococcus bacterium in excellent transformation efficiency. SOLUTION: This method for transforming the Rhodococcus bacterium comprises the following processes. (a) A process of preparing a Rhodococcus bacterium different from the Rhodococcus bacterium of transformation target and containing a plasmid DNA, or an analogous bacterium thereof. (b) A process of preparing the plasmid DNA from the bacterium prepared in the process (a).
