The present invention relates to regulation of T cell activation. More particularly, the present invention is directed to nucleic acids encoding IL10-R, e.g., IL10-R alpha . The invention further relates to methods for identifying and using agents, including small organic molecules, antibodies, peptides, cyclic peptides, antisense nucleic acids, RNAi and ribozymes, that modulate T cell activation via modulation of IL10-R and IL10-R -related signal transduction; as well as to the use of expression profiles and compositions in diagnosis and therapy related to autoimmune disease and tissue and organ transplant.
