<p>A pneumatic radial tire achieving low road noise, reduced flat spots, and high high-speed durability. The pneumatic radial tire has a radial carcass (5), a belt (6) constituted of at least two belt layers disposed radially outside a crown section of the carcass (5), and belt reinforcement layers (7A, 7B) disposed radially outside the belt (6). The belt reinforcement layers (7A, 7B) are formed by winding cord formed of polyethylene terephthalate in a continuous and spiral manner in the circumferential direction of the tire. The cord has an elasticity modulus of not less than 2.5 mN/dtex.% measured at 160°C under 29.4 N load.</p> |
