<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a circuit from being unnecessarily turned off by interrupting power only in a circuit using a predetermined current or larger, when an earthquake is detected from a signal from a seismoscope. <P>SOLUTION: A power interrupting device includes a distribution board 32 which contains a power interrupting switch 23 for interrupting power, a seismoscope 33 for detecting vibration, and a control means 34 for turning off the power interrupting switch 23 when predetermined vibration is detected by a signal of the seismoscope 33.
