摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the shortage of power supplied from a battery when an engine is restarted. <P>SOLUTION: A driving device comprises: a hybrid ECU 100 that temporarily stops the engine 200 if predetermined conditions are met when the engine 200 is idling; a motor generator 600 that restarts the engine using power whose voltage value is the same as the voltage value of the battery based on the conditions for the engine's return from temporary stop; a capacitor 400 that stores power; and a connection circuit 500 that connects the capacitor 400 and the battery 300 so that power is supplied from the capacitor 400 to the motor generator 600 to suppress a voltage drop in the battery 300 when the engine is restarted. The motor generator 600 is connected to the connection circuit 500, and generates regenerative power to be stored in the battery 400 and the capacitor 300, whose voltage value is the same as the voltage value of the battery 300, when a regenerative brake is applied to the vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
