<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress temperature rise in a motor driving device that drives an electric compressor and enhance the reliability of the circuitry of the driving device. <P>SOLUTION: An inverter that drives a motor turns on a second internal power circuit 42 to supply power to a CPU 5 that generates driving signals for the motor when either or both of the following conditions are met: the temperature of the inverter is equal to or higher than a threshold value and an air conditioner control circuit 9 is operating. A temperature detecting means is separately operated by a first internal power circuit 41. Thus, the temperature can be constantly monitored without operating the CPU or the second internal power circuit, and the power consumption of the inverter circuit can be reduced for suppression of self-heating. The CPU is operated only when the compressor must be driven, and the inverter can be forcedly cooled by coolant sucked by the compressor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
