<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological information reading device for quickly and reliably reading biological information such as the fingerprints of a testee. <P>SOLUTION: This fingerprint reading system 1 is provided with: a biological information reading means (fingerprint reading means) 13 which reads biological information from the part extending from the first joint to the tip of a finger 100 placed on a finger placing position; a finger recognizing means 11 which recognizes that the finger 100 has been placed on the finger placing position 22 and a soft member 124 set so as to be abutted on the part extending from the first joint to the tip of the finger 100 placed on the finger placing position. The fingerprint reading system 1 is further provided with a fingertip pressing means 121 which, when the finger recognizing means 11 recognizes that the finger 100 has been placed, applies a preliminarily decided pressure to the part extending from the first joint to the tip of the finger 100 from the upper part to the lower part, and presses the finger thick extending from the first joint to the tip of the finger 100 to the biological information reading means 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
